William Favre (Sequoyah) Slater, III is a highly experienced cybersecurity consultant, project manager, and programmer with over 35 years of relevant experience. He is currently the President and CEO of Slater Technologies, Inc. and has previously worked as a senior IT consultant on projects related to information security, compliance, risk management, and auditing. William is a PMP, CISSP, CISA, and SSCP certified professional with a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from Bellevue University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix Online and a Certificate in Information Technology from Marist College. William has worked on various cybersecurity projects, including Business Resiliency assessments, formal risk assessments, security audits, and ISO 27001 implementation projects. He has also provided consultations as a subject matter expert on projects with Data Center vendors and other local businesses. William has worked with clients such as Offisol Corporation, HCSC, IPSOS, Synovate, Panduit, Caveon, and CAPSIM Management Solutions. In addition to his work in cybersecurity, William is also involved in designing and developing blockchain DApps. He is currently working on a database application that streamlines program management, security management, risk management, and reporting activities, for management of teams of IT workers and developers in teleworking environments. William is an Affiliate Member of Sociedad Internet de México - ISOC Mexico and was recently appointed as a Member of the Center for Cyber Security and Forensics Education at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. He has also conducted research and written articles on cyberwarfare and security tools such as Wireshark, which have been published in Hakin9 magazine and other publications.
